The Family Selection Committee is responsible for drafting the selection criteria used to select families for approval by the board of directors. The committee is also responsible for informing prospective homeowners that they may be eligible to apply for a Northwoods Habitat Home. In addition, they develop an orientation program for applicants, application forms, screen applications, and interview prospective families. The committee will then recommend applicants to the board of directors for approval. Once an applicant has been approved as a prospective homeowner, the committee works in conjunction with the Family Support Committee to continue the relationship building process. All applicant information is confidential which is an important part of the selection process. Any type of family in Oneida and Vilas Counties is welcome to apply. |
